František Dvořák (1932-1986): photographic ouvre in a context of its time.
HRUŠOVÁ, Helena
In the period from the 1960s to the first half of the 1980s, František Dvořák was known as one of the most inspiring personalities among Czech amateur photographers. Yet today, only minimal attention is paid to his personality and work. That is why this text has been written, with the aim of revealing something more of Dvořák's legacy. In continuation of the bachelor thesis entitled Photographer František Dvořák (1932-1986). Life and Work. it deepens the knowledge gathered so far and tries to place this amateur photographer and his work in the contemporary context of local history and the history of Czechoslovak photography. In doing so, it seeks answers to the questions of what influence the political situation or the photographic tradition and contemporary work in Czechoslovakia had on the form of Dvořák's work. Compared to the previous text, the evaluation of Dvořák's work is based on a wider range of examples of his work, and individual photographs and entire cycles, which were only briefly mentioned so far, are now presented, as well as the lost handmade book Things Dreams Reality from 1973, for which a draft version has recently been found. Using these and other examples of his work, I will try to explain the significance of František Dvořák's work in the context of the times.
Historical cultural landscape of the deserted settlements in the Kaplice region
Baramová, Magdalena
The open landscape of the former district of Kaplice, situated between the Bohemian Forest and Gratzen Mountains on the Czech-Austrian border, has stimulated economic and cultural exchange between the two territories since prehistoric times. From the second half of the 13th century until the events after the Second World War, the region was predominantly inhabited by German-speaking population, but after the displacement the area underwent a turbulent development. Within a few years, socio-demographic changes have got imprinted in the landscape, and today several overlapping phenomena can be observed, which together reflect the process of transformation of the area. At the beginning of the 1950s, many settlements disappeared as a result of under-population and the construction of the Iron Curtain. Nevertheless, there are still remains of the use of the landscape by its former inhabitants, especially in the form of relics of buildings, religious architecture, roads, hedgerows, landscaping, waterworks and other traces. The securing of the national border has brought a further transformation of the landscape, which has had a devastating effect on the cultural heritage, but on the other hand it has helped to develop natural communities that are now protected. Even after the fall of communism, the region has not reached the population of the pre-war period, so the absence of settlement continues to give the area a unique genius loci. However, the cultural and historical values of the landscape are not yet protected on a basis, therefore the paper seeks to introduce the values and emphasises the need to protect them.

FIALOVÁ, Nina
Not only the state plays a part in the social field through its institutions or established organizations, but also non-governmental organizations, which are significant actors in the field of social services. Prehospital treatment of patients with stroke
MACKOVÁ, Zuzana
The topic of this bachelor thesis was Prehospital treatment of patients with stroke. The theoretical part of the work dealt with the issue of stroke from the beginning of the symptoms to the diagnosis and treatment of the patient by a paramedic in prehospital emergency care. The work also includes standard conditions for the subsequent directing of the patient to a specialized medical facility and the difference between the Complex Cerebrovascular Center and the Stroke Center. In the practical part of the bachelor thesis, three goals and three research questions were set. The first goal was to map the theoretical knowledge of paramedics concerning stroke. The second goal was to map the procedure of paramedics taking treatment of a patient with a suspected stroke, and the third objective was to map the cooperation of paramedics and the Complex Cerebrovascular Center in České Budějovice. The practical part was performed using a qualitative method of semi-structured interview technique. The interview contained 22 questions. The researched group consisted of 10 paramedics from individual regional centers of the Medical Rescue Service of the South Bohemian Region. The results of the research were divided into 11 categories and processed into tables for better clarity. The results of the research succeeded in both, meeting the objectives of the work and answering the research questions. It was found that paramedics have sufficient and current theoretical knowledge in the field, and no major shortcomings were found. The cooperation of paramedics with the Complex Cerebrovascular Center in České Budějovice is also evaluated very positively. The research has shown that, to make an improvement, paramedics should be more consistent in measuring blood glucose levels, obtaining electrocardiographic recordings, and choosing the right venous cannula size.
NGOs and humanitarian aid
RADOSTOVÁ, Kateřina
This bachelor thesis aims to describe the activities of non-governmental organisations and the provision of humanitarian aid and subsequently to find out what knowledge the citizens of the South Bohemian Region possess within these topics. The theoretical section contains individual information that defines specifically the content of non-governmental organisations, as well as humanitarian aid. The bachelor thesis selects and defines organizations that operate on the territory of the South Bohemian Region, including basic information on the provision of assistance to affected residents. An integrated rescue system is also mentioned in this work, which corresponds with the theme of this bachelor thesis through its activities. The research part is conducted by guided interviews and questionnaire surveys dealing with two research issues. To achieve the first goal and answer the research question "What humanitarian aid do non-governmental organisations provide?" managed interview questions have been set up that target specific non-governmental organisations. The questionnaire focused on the second question of the research section "What is the knowledge of the population of the South Bohemia Region about the provision of humanitarian aid?" In controlled interviews, I was given information such as ways of presenting the public, the most frequent target group or how many voluntary donors the organization has. Their most frequent activities include financial and manual assistance. Responses obtained in the research section showed that residents in the South Bohemia Region have at least a basic overview of the provision of humanitarian aid and non-governmental organisations. Respondents knew who could become a member of a non-governmental organisation and what are the examples of humanitarian aid.
The potential for tourism development in the South Bohemian Region
VRBOVÁ, Kateřina
The main goal of my Bachelor thesis is to analyze the potential for tourism development in the South Bohemian Region. The studied region is divided into nine tourist areas. The potential is evaluated using the modified method of Jan Bína from 2002. The highest value of potential is 229 points in the tourist area Lipensko, the lowest in Třeboňsko (166 points). The evaluation of the real use of the potential is based on a survey through questionnaires. All of the 207 questionnaires were gathered through November and December 2021. In general, the potential of the South Bohemian Region is using sufficiently. Another objective of the questionnaire research was to find out what respondents are dissatisfied with in this region, what they lack here or what they would welcome here. To increase the use of potential, I propose to build a new aquapark in Toulava, to increase the number of parking places and better promoting children's cultural events.
